Birthdays. The mention of this word brings to mind our growing old. We all have different ways in which we celebrate our Birthdays. For the older generation like some of our grandparents who do not know the exact day when they were born, they simply celebrate it on a day of their choice.
To some, it is just a normal 24 hours. To others, it is a big day to celebrate. Some have friends who organize surprise parties for them, lucky them. As a man, the worse thing you can do is forget your girlfriend’s Birthday. My friend, that is perfect recipe for disaster and chaos. Need I explain more? Some lucky ladies get proposed to on their Birthdays.
One Kenyan Birthday tradition is being washed on your Birthday. Your friends may decide to pour buckets of water on you. Sometimes, dirty water. This has happened to me severally. Another one is having the birthday cake icing smeared on your face. Apparently, this is meant to have your lover lick it off your face. Others hit the club and paint their town red.
The most common item associated with Birthdays is a Birthday cake. We all love cakes. At the mere mention of this, some of us are salivating. Many kids and even adults picture a Birthday cake covered in coloured icing sugar. The kids especially love licking the icing.
Speaking of Birthday cakes, we all love well baked cakes. Look at this cake belowππ

Isn’t it just lovely? Mouthwatering? How would you describe it? Doesn’t it just awaken your taste buds? Would you like such?

‘That is so googled!’ you may say. Sorry to disappoint you. It is as real as it gets. Yeah, it is professionally and hygienically baked by the by the one and only Sassy Wambui alias Foody Wambo of Wambui Food Diaries. This is her right hereππ
